Ce soir-là, un homme du nom d'Adolf Hitler déclencha un soulèvement local. Prenant en otage des milliers de buveurs, Hitler aurait " bouleversé la foule " par sa rhétorique, la laissant l'acclamer en scandant : " Soit la révolution allemande commence ce soir, soit nous serons tous morts à l'aube ! ". C’est sans doute cette soirée qui marqua le début de la prise de pouvoir d'Hitler et qui lui a permis, en fin de compte, d'enchaîner politiquement une nation entière, de déclencher une guerre mondiale et de commettre les crimes les plus odieux du siècle.
